✨ Research Share ✨  Did you know our Founder & CEO, Alyssa Ravasio, once collected feedback from campers outside her local REI store? Research at Hipcamp has come a long way since then, and today we’re excited to share a snippet from our latest research, all about RV campers. RVers are a growing audience of outdoor enthusiasts as well as a diverse group of campers, driving vehicles ranging from modified campervans to 45-feet motorhomes. We needed a segmentation of our RV audience to better target creative marketing material that speaks to the different types of campgrounds that appeal to RVers and allow us to better personalize product features for their specific needs. Creating segmentations is a long and complex process, and as a small team, we don’t have the necessary resources to dedicate months to segmentation using traditional methods. By partnering with Outset, an AI-moderated research platform, we captured 200+ in-depth interviews with real RV campers in just 1 week. From the research, we learned valuable insights like which campground amenities appeal more to certain segments. Without this AI tool, we might not have been able to conduct this research, and if we did, it would have likely taken an entire quarter for our team to complete.
