Last week, our HITT team was excited to attend the Women In Construction Leadership and Networking Conference with team members flying in from all over the country to join the conversation! 🚧 HITT Safety Director Julieanne Myers, CSP, CHST, MBA kicked off the event with an impactful safety moment, setting the tone for the day. 🚧 Attendees explored how AI is shaping the future of construction and tackling industry challenges through innovation. 🚧 Sheila Sears, our general counsel, led a breakout session on the importance of building personal and professional networks through connection and mentorship, offering invaluable career insights. 🚧 Mental health was front and center, with sessions emphasizing the importance of fostering a positive work culture. 🚧 Other panels highlighted the career journeys of women in construction and how they have overcome challenges in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Our Washington, DC team had an incredible time at The Big Build at the National Building Museum! 🏗️✨ Kids and adults explored the world of design and construction side-by-side with real professionals, using real tools, and even climbing inside construction equipment 🚜👷♂️ From wiring a light to pouring concrete and earning STEM badges, there were hands-on activities for all ages.
