About us
We’re determined to fight the climate crisis by directly supporting frontline, indigenous, and rural communities whose practices restore lands and waters. Through these nature-based solutions we can make a global impact. Every dollar raised goes directly to the communities—who decide how to spend it. We trust them, because they know their communities and they know what works. Home Planet Fund’s philosophy is rooted in listening to, honoring, and supporting Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. 🌲 We are already funding Indigenous projects globally and building new partnerships that are applying their Indigenous knowledge to healing the planet. We hope for a future where Indigenous knowledge shapes climate policy around the world. 🌍 As Climate Week just came to a close, the conversation doesn’t end here. With your continued support, we can do even more. Some incredible reflections from Dilafruz Khonikboyeva after an impactful week at #NYCClimateWeek. Her insights highlight the critical role Indigenous knowledge plays in addressing the climate crisis and driving real solutions. 💚 Read her recap to learn more about the conversations shaping our planet’s future. 🌍⬇️
What a whirlwind #nyclimateweek is! My biggest takeaway is gratitude for community and champions 💗 This was Home Planet Fund's first time in this public space and I felt an incredible sense of connection. Although we've been quietly building and working for over 2 years, I'm so grateful for people lifting us up and highlighting our work now that we are ready to invite on partners and funders beyond Patagonia 🎉 At the core of why I built this, why Home Planet Fund exists: 1️⃣ Regenerating and conserving lands and waters is core to #carbon #sequestration #climate and #biodiversity targets. 2️⃣Indigenous peoples and local communities #iplc already do this work; through their knowledge and our funding at speed and scale we can take on the #polycrisis. 3️⃣ This approach is so much more; it's about leaving no people, geographies, or ecologies behind. It's rethinking relationship to land and #economic #livelihoods while raising up #women and #youth and the #spiritual connection of humans to our home planet. 🌱 Many of you will receive thank you notes next week, but in the meantime here are the few pictures I was sent of the more formal bits.

Action speaks louder than words—and that's exactly what our Executive Director, Dilafruz Khonikboyeva, highlighted at the Action Speaks event. She joined a powerful discussion on women-led, nature-based solutions, like those in the Solomon Islands, that are making real strides for the climate crisis. The science is clear: the solutions are here, and with collective action, we can scale them to create a healthier future. 🌿 Together, we can make it happen—take action today! 👇 https://bit.ly/3ZEO2Bx The Nest Climate Campus #ActionSpeaks #ClimateSolutions #WomenLeadingChange
