🌍 As we head into #COP29, we remain at a critical juncture in global energy transitions: Developing economies are being asked to decarbonize at unprecedented speeds while pursuing essential development goals—all with limited access to finance and technology. In other words, we're asking developing nations to solve a problem they didn't create, with tools they don't fully control nor own. Excited to share my latest publication with Jackson Ewing, PhD, where we examine these critical questions about balancing human flourishing with climate action, and explore practical paths forward for financing energy transitions in developing economies. Special thanks to The Nest Climate Campus and the Duke Climate Commitment for hosting our high-level discussion that helped inform this work, and to Stephanie von Friedeburg, Alix Peterson Zwane, and Stefano Marguccio for their invaluable insights. "So first of all, we're really only focused on solutions. We don't want people coming and talking about their 2050 plans... The focus of the Nest Climate Campus is really on actionable, real-world solutions. What are people doing today that makes a difference, and how can that be food for thought for other sustainability leaders? What can they hear that they can then put to work in their organization?" - Britton Jones, Founder & CEO, The Nest Climate Campus Meet The Entrepreneur Behind The Nest Climate Campus At Climate Week In NYC: https://lnkd.in/ecXWYdKx #climateaction #climateweeknyc Climate Group #committoclimate #climateweeknyc2024
