Dina Belon is widely seen as an industry leader in innovation, and today shares her AI & tech bets for a people-first approach at Staypineapple Hotels Inc.: https://lnkd.in/gXwKGVzJ 🎧 Listen to the Hospitality Daily Podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts A few takeaways from what she shared today: Integrate your systems: Connect your PMS, CRM, and POS systems to create a seamless flow of information, empowering staff with guest insights. Focus on capturing meaningful guest data: Collect information that allows you to anticipate and fulfill guest needs in a way that makes them feel known and cared for. Use AI to support human interaction, not replace it: Leverage AI to streamline processes and give staff more time to engage with guests, rather than as a means to eliminate team members. Harness your intellectual property: Feed your company's collective knowledge (SOPs, training materials, etc.) into an AI system to create a centralized, easily accessible resource for staff. Empower staff with contextual, conversation-based learning: Use AI to provide on-demand, situational guidance to team members, reducing reliance on traditional manuals. Utilize AI for drafting guest review responses: Provide staff with AI-generated response templates that ensure all points are addressed, while allowing them to personalize the message. Bet on the future of human-centric hospitality: As AI becomes more prevalent, double down on creating memorable, personalized experiences that showcase the irreplaceable value of human interaction. This is just a few of the points Dina makes in our conversation. I encourage you to listen to the Hospitality Daily Podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts for more. ♻️ If you learned something here, consider reposting it with your thoughts to help someone else! 👋 And if you're new here, I'm Josiah Mackenzie, and I invite you to follow this page (Hospitality Daily) for more stories like this I share each day

HOSPITALITY (Loyalty & Membership) & Product management

Print is Not Dead ☠ !! After a 7-year hiatus, J.Crew has once again printed their beautiful catalogue. Soho House published an interior design catalogue, and the strategy agency OAS decided to produce 1,000 copies of their latest trend report, available only to friends and friends of friends! On the more artistic side, last week the famous artist D-Face organised a treasure hunt in London with four printing stations. Each station allowed participants to print one layer, and together they created an exclusive self-made print from the artist! Sure, short-form video content reigns supreme, but while this format is widely available, paper feels more luxurious and exclusive. In an extremely online world, paper helps us disconnect and slow things down. It offers an immersive experience, engaging at least three of the five senses! For loyalty programs, especially when catering to your most valued VIP members, print is an excellent way to keep building the relationships. If you don’t have the patience to create an entire catalogue… just send a postcard—it's cool too!

Building Alively, Your Healthspan gamechanger. Ex-Booking.com leader, Masters Runner & Travel Industry Expert. Let's Connect!

🤯This is for those folks thinking about CHANGING CAREER PATHS and following a passion.... This video was a sign to me and can be for you... you will want to read the post for context to learn how it blew my mind🤯 It's been 1 year since making my transition toward a career as a founder in the #health and #wellness industry Alively. Through the ups and downs it is ever so clear that you need good people around you and every now and then you also need to be open for signs you are on the right track. **The key is being open or you will miss the significance of an event and then it does not become a sign** This video is the story of 2 of those friends and their intended and unintended contributions to my career pivot.. When I embarked on a wellness focused career Sloan Dean was right there to recommend an opportunity to blend my travel/hospitality knowledge with my wellness experience and passion. With his support I became an advisor to Pure Wellness and their advisory board co-chair. I am every so thankful to him for that and the years of friendship and collaboration that led to this. Then, Josiah Mackenzie being one of the most astute observers of trends, excellence and innovation in the #hospitality industry invited me on his must listen Hospitality Daily podcast. We have known each other a long time and he wanted to give me the opportunity to share lessons learned from years of leadership within Booking.com but also to explain my sudden change in focus and relate it back to the #travel industry which itself has become very attuned to the importance of wellness for our travelers and team members. If that was not enough, they also provided me an unintended sign to keep going. Earlier this year Josiah interviewed Sloan.. Neither of them really knew that the other knew me, and in conversation they gave me a big boost of confidence that I was on the right track with my work on #heatlhspan and my professional brand. Here is a snippet of their interview (edited) that took me completely by surprise while on my morning run several weeks back and gave me a huge sign that I was on the right path for me and having an impact.
