On 4 July at 4pm we are delighted to host the internationally acclaimed Dr Ali Shazib BDS DMD, Dip. ABOM, from High Point University, North Carolina. He will lecture on exploring the link between oral medicine and oncology at the Pears Building, Pond Street, London NW3 2PP. This lecture will cover the oral complications that can arise from cancer therapy, the diagnosis of oral adverse events secondary to immunotherapy (irAEs), practical guidelines for management of oral irAEs and the role of multidisciplinary care in oral oncology. Dr Shazib is Associate Professor of Oral Medicine Oncology and Orofacial Pain; Dean of the Workman School of Dental Medicine and High Point University Oral Health Network. In the area of research and discovery, Dr. Shazib interests are in cancer-treatment related oral adverse events, emerging therapeutics for mucosal disorders, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and precision medicine.
