Mercer County developer teeing up a second apartment redevelopment along what has been a largely industrial stretch of Melwood Avenue in Oakland.

We're happy to hear that two Sharon-located nonprofits will receive tax credits through the state's Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). Community Action Partnership of Mercer County will receive almost $14,000 which will be used toward the Sharon Lots to Love program for the support of 155 lots, and the assistance toward the creation of 'community gardens, an art installation, a flower garden and a memorial park.' Their tax credit funding comes from F.N.B. Corporation. Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County will receive a little over $8000 to cover food expenses, warehouse costs and expenditures associated with food distribution.
