The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command, in partnership with Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), awarded Impulse Space a $34.5M contract for the VICTUS SURGO and VICTUS SALO missions. Our Mira vehicles will demonstrate Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) capabilities, enhancing dynamic space operations. 🚀 For VICTUS SURGO, Mira will reach GTO via our Helios kick stage aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. VICTUS SALO will see Mira operate in LEO on a future SpaceX Rideshare mission. We look forward to advancing space domain awareness and delivering highly responsive space capabilities. 🌌 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g6SRkdKk #ImpulseSpace

Ever wondered why 3D printing is so useful in aerospace applications? 🚀 Ryan Holbrook, an additive engineer here at Impulse Space, has the answer. By 3D printing the majority of our engine parts in-house, we unlock new possibilities that traditional manufacturing can't offer. From cooling channels to complex geometries, additive manufacturing allows us to optimize performance while accelerating development. With full control over the process—from material feedstock to post-print quality checks—we ensure precision at every step. The result? High-performance propulsion systems that push the boundaries of in-space transportation. #3DPrinting #SpaceTechnology #ImpulseSpace

Every Saiph thruster is thoroughly tested before it is integrated onto our vehicles. 📈 We perform several acceptance tests from our in-house vacuum chamber, focusing on two critical operational modes: 1️⃣ Steady-state burn: Validates Saiph’s ability to perform delta-V burns, enabling precise orbital transfers. 2️⃣ Pulsing burn: Demonstrates fine reaction control with short, rapid pulses, crucial for vehicle rotation in space. Saiph’s success in these tests ensures our vehicles navigate orbits accurately, arriving at our customers’ target destinations in space. 🌌 With over 152,000 seconds of burn time and 108,000 ignitions on the ground at Impulse, each run builds confidence in Saiph’s on-orbit performance for our in-space transportation solutions. 🚀
