If you know the Incendium team, you know that we’re always on Slack. The best kind of messages we give and get? Well, those would have to be our our team shoutouts. Compiled in a dedicated Slack thread and tallied up on a weekly basis, our “vibe count” as it’s lovingly become known, is a measure of the number of times our staff compliments each other for doing good work or embodying our core values. Not only has it become a key metric in our EOS Worldwide scorecard that gives us a pulse on our team’s happiness and workload levels, but it‘s also become the basis of our company’s tree planting initiative (1 team member shoutout = 1 tree planted 🌳) With all the B2B marketing challenges that have come to a head in 2024, we saw the weekly average take a slight dip as our crew worked hard to find creative solutions and get them done. But recently? We hit our highest vibe count since April– 30 in one week– and it’s a testament to a team that consistently demonstrates resilience, innovation, and genuinely enjoys building something together. What are some ways your team measures your team’s wellbeing?

Our perspective: the traditional agency setup is not equipped to deliver the sustained growth that early stage B2B companies need in today’s market. Join Incendium's co-founder and CEO, Nathaniel Houghton, as he explores why the standard marketing agency model is outdated for startups and how they can adopt more flexible, high-impact strategies that align with the growth needs of early stage companies. Lately, we’ve noticed a sharp uptick in the number of early stage companies that want to get into the SEO game, but are unsure of how to navigate the constantly evolving rules for success. Our word of advice to them (and you): pay special attention to the authenticity of your content because search engines are quickly becoming skilled at recognizing and penalizing AI-generated writing! To stay ahead of the curve, Incendium’s own team is experimenting with BlogSEO.AI to test different approaches to content creation and find the sweet spot between human creativity and AI efficiency. Should the team member handle idea generation and final product editing, while AI tackles the writing? Should a human handle original content generation, but use AI to repurpose the writing for an additional 2-3 blog posts since recycling content is all the rage right now among SEO experts? Or should people handle the heavy lifting of written content generation and use AI for optimization and image generation alone? This iterative process is helping us fine-tune the balance between AI and human input so we can maximize our members' and our own SEO growth potential without triggering penalties. Got any tips of your own? Drop them below! 👇
