Love, equity and access for young people with disabilities
About us
INCLUDEnyc brings love, equity, and access to young people with disabilities in New York City by providing them and their families with the resources and support they need. We give families with children and young people from birth to 26 with any disability the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to make informed decisions, effectively access and navigate systems and services, and the ability to advocate for themselves and other young people. We actively work to change the conversation about people with disabilities. In doing so, we hope to reduce the stigma associated with disability and to promote a family voice in the policy process. INCLUDEnyc also supports educators, youth workers, and other professionals in partnering with young people and families for success.

We're hosting a 5K in October and you can create a team to maximize the positive impact you can make! Your team can be as simple as the "Smith Family" or a group of friends who want to support our cause. You can also join a pre-existing team: just search for an existing team such as a Company or Group. https://lnkd.in/eDrz684g

Our staff is having a great time at the 2024 US Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Conference. This year's theme is Early Beginnings to Bright Futures. It is always a pleasure to learn alongside our other Parent Center friends, Paola Jordan (Sinergia, Inc.), Ross Baker (Advocates for Children of New York), and Roberta Rizzardi Grogan (Long Island Advocacy Center), as well as Valerie C. Williams, Director, Office of Special Education Programs, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services.
