Influential CEO Ryan Detert has been involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) nonprofit for most of his life, as both mentor and mentee. In the ADWEEK article below, Ryan shares the profound impact BBBSA has had on him and how it fostered his confidence, which eventually led to him founding Influential. Now a BBBSA board member, Ryan continues supporting the organization, including his recent $1M donation to kickstart lifechanging experiences for 10,000 mentee and mentor matches. He’s recently teamed up with fellow board member Michael Kassan to kickstart the Changemakers Challenge. The Changemakers Challenge looks to the advertising and media industry to raise $4M (quadrupling Ryan’s original donation), as well as raise $100M in donated media to Change the Odds for the Next Generation. The launch of the Changemakers Challenge will take place at the National Football League (NFL) House in New Orleans on Thursday, February 6, which will be hosted by Ryan, Michael, NFL’s Tim Ellis and PMX US CEO Joel Lunenfeld. 🎗️ Since the launch of Working with Cancer Initiative , we have rallied over 2,500 companies around a common cause: combating the stigma of cancer in the workplace.   Today, we are taking it a step further with the #ScreeningTimeOff initiative, which encourages employees to take dedicated time for cancer screenings. Prevention is key to protecting everyone's health.   On the occasion of World Cancer Day 2025, we are launching the #ScreeningTimeOff campaign, embodied by actress and breast cancer activist Jenna Fischer. In celebration of Black History Month, Influential is excited to spotlight three incredible employees: Tiffanie Petett, Jordan Bernard, and Shanice Davis. Celebrated in February, #BHM is a time to recognize and honor the rich cultural contributions and diverse experiences of the Black community within our company and beyond. Here’s a little bit about each of them: As Director of Strategic Partnerships, Tiffanie Petett brings dedication and strategy to her work—but outside of the office, she has plenty of passions, too! Between Houston and Los Angeles, she loves staying active and cooking. With the Super Bowl around the corner, she’s especially excited to curate the perfect game-day menu! At Influential, Jordan Bernard is a Specialist in Campaign Management, but outside of the office, he loves staying active! Based in Florida, he’s always up for a competition—whether it’s hitting the gym or playing tennis and pickleball. Beyond sports, Jordan has a deep passion for music—you’ll often find him in the studio with friends, listening to new tracks and sharing his creative input. Shanice M. Davis, a Specialist in Campaign Management based in Norman, Oklahoma, stays busy both in and out of the office. Outside of work, she’s a busy mom of two—of a 4-year-old son and a 20-month-old daughter. Part of a huge sports family, Shanice’s weekends are filled with basketball, martial arts, and soon, soccer in the spring. She also has a passion for photography and anything related to track and field, having attended incredible events like the NCAA National Championships, the Olympic Trials, and the World Championship. This donation comes from a very special place for us, as we lost Ryan’s “big” Clayton Roth to stage 4 cancer in 2019.
