We’ve loved telling you more about each of our five new members of the IRI Board of Advisors! Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Julie Edgar! Julie is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. Julie joined Lubrizol in 1995 as a research chemist at the company’s Hazelwood, U.K., facility. She has held several technology leadership positions within the company across multiple businesses. She also served as Director of Research and Development for Lubrizol Advanced Materials in Asia, Director of Research and Development for Lubrizol Oilfield Solutions, Vice President of Corporate Research and Development, and Chief Sustainability Officer. Most recently, she served as Vice President of LZA Transportation, where she led a team responsible for creating customer value and industry-leading products, as well as leading growth in the transportation lubricant additive and future mobility markets. Julie has a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Surrey. We are so excited to welcome Julie to the IRI Board of Advisors. #ShapingInnovationLeaders Faculty Spotlight: Marian Powers Marian Powers has been an adjunct professor of accounting in the Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Education program since 1987. She specializes in teaching financial reporting and analysis to executives. Powers holds a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana. She is also co-author of several college accounting textbooks and in-depth cases on financial analysis.
