About us
ICAB offers a single source Alternative Accommodation solution. Over recent years we have changed the way we deal with Alternative Accommodation claims by improving operating efficiency in order to meet customers’ evolving demands in the most cost-effective way. We stress the importance to all staff and suppliers of helping policyholders however they can, to ensure their sometimes traumatic claims situation is turned into a positive service experience. With this in mind ICAB take customer service seriously and ensure all our staff are all fully trained to deal with customers, loss adjusters, insurers and claims handlers alternative accommodation enquiries regardless of their primary role.

I have been with ICAB for a year now I can’t believe it’s gone so fast! 👩🏫 Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today? For me, the inspiration was my manager of the first training session I ever attended at the start of my career. I am still using the skills learned in that session today. He also set me on a path of becoming a trainer and manager. The time and passion he invested in me and the team was truly inspiring. 👍 What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career? My best advice is to always be open minded and embrace change, as you never know what’s around the corner and what those opportunities might lead to. 👩💼 What’s the best thing about working for ICAB? I work with an amazing team of people, and I love the fact that what we do makes a real difference to those who are facing trauma and uncertainty. Knowing that we have arranged a safe and warm temporary home for our customers and their families makes the hard work worthwhile.

Todays #MondayMotivation is Tracey Waldorf ! As one of our long-standing employees, Tracey has worked at ICAB LIMITED for 15 years as a credit controller covering all sorts of accounts over her tenure. Her vast experience of the company and its supply chain has made her a dependable and valuable member of the team. ❓ What does your job entail? I manage a number of accounts, chasing outstanding funds from suppliers and chasing back overpayments from estate agents. I also deal with return of credits and the unallocated account. ❓ Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today? It was a natural progression to credit control as I had worked previously for Building Societies and in general insurance and in particular I very much enjoyed working with mortgage arrears. ❓ Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully I will still be working at ICAB and still enjoying credit control. I would like to reach my 20 year anniversary! ❓ What's the funniest thing that has happened to you at work? I fell down a manhole, just outside the office!! It wasn't my most graceful moment! It didn't seem funny at the time but it is now looking back! Thank you to Tracey Waldorf for all your hard work, smiles and laughs over the years.
