Championing gender inclusion at PfP 💜 At PfP, we’re committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), its why we have eight Inclusion and Belonging Communities including our Gender Community. Earlier this month, we held a Gender Day for our Colleagues which was a fantastic opportunity to bring together members from across our working Community. Reflecting on a year of impact at Derby Street’s Supported Move-On Service! 🏠 This month, we’re celebrating one year of providing support and solutions at Derby Street in Bristol, a pioneering modular housing service designed to address urgent housing needs and provide a foundation for long-term success for service users. As one of the UK’s few modular housing schemes, Derby Street exemplifies innovation, tackling homelessness with fully furnished, high-quality homes, and offering individuals the stability they need to rebuild their lives. Whether it’s a client securing stable income or taking a step toward independent living, each milestone is a reminder of the transformative power of safe, secure housing. 🏡 We’re excited to announce that, in partnership with Vistry Group, we’ve secured planning approval to build 140 new homes in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire. This project will utilise modern construction methods to reduce carbon emissions, create green open spaces, and lay the foundation for a sustainable Community. Nilam Buchanan, our Regional Managing Director, Developments Central, shared: “We are delighted to partner with Vistry Group on this significant development in Earl Shilton to bring forward more high-quality, affordable homes that foster vibrant and sustainable Communities. "The mix of one-, two, three, and four-bedroom homes will cater to a diverse range of people, ensuring that everyone has access to a safe and comfortable living environment. We know how vitally important a sustainable home can be for people, and we’re excited to see modern methods of construction used to reduce the carbon footprint of these homes, contributing to a greener future for all. We look forward to seeing this development come to life and making a positive impact on the local Community." Supporting Communities this winter ❄️🏡 At PfP, we’ve stepped up to help our Communities this winter by supporting 49 warm hubs and food banks across the UK. To prepare our Customers to be #WinterReady, we’re ensuring people have access to essential resources, including warmth, food, and guidance on tackling cold weather challenges like damp and mould. Our Wellbeing Survey which surveyed 5,000 PfP Customers across the country, revealed the pressing need for this support: 🔹 24% of respondents can’t afford to turn on their heating. 🔹 17% have run out of food with no means to buy more. Marcus Hulme, our Director of Places Impact, shared: “Sadly, these survey results reinforce what we already know: many of our Customers, and the wider Community, continue to struggle. By supporting food and warm banks and highlighting additional resources this winter, we aim to alleviate some of this pressure and support the wellbeing of our Customers.” We recognise the immediate need for support and stand with Communities this winter, providing tangible, accessible resources to help individuals and families navigate the toughest months of the year.
