This new facility will revolutionize child and adolescent behavioral healthcare by providing an intentional environment for healing and restoration. Last week our team released the Call for Artist for the Public Art Integration at the ARC (Aquatics and Recreation Center) in Curtistine S. McCowan Park in the City of DeSoto, Texas. This commissioned art piece will be a feature at the ARC for residents and patrons to enjoy for decades to come. The selected artist will work with the design team SmithGroup | KAI Enterprises, owner's representative Integrated Project Solutions, LLC , parks department and construction manager Manhattan Construction Company | Post L Group | ACARI Management Group, Inc. to integrate this commissioned piece into the project. The IPS team participated in the Fila Tundra Toy Drive in partnership with Councilmember Dr. Dinah Marks, South Toyota, and local churches in the City of DeSoto. The event was a great success, with more than eight trucks filled with toys for all ages. After brief remarks, everyone drove down to View Church where they stacked the room with toys up to the ceiling. The toys will be sorted on December 14th and 15th, from 6 - 8 pm. If you want to volunteer your time, you can join the team. The toy distribution will take place on December 16th. If you or someone you know in the DeSoto area needs toys for the holiday season, the distribution will be held at 1121 E. Wintergreen Rd.
