CRI San Francisco a women-owned office furniture and design consultancy, recently hosted us for a showroom tour, engaging presentation, and learning activity where participants created vision boards representing their ideal workspace! Female executives from their sales, marketing, business development, creative solutions teams and more shared about their roles and career opportunities in the industry, before challenging the girls to choose the fabrics, finishes and furniture pieces for their own dream spaces. Participants then had the opportunity to share their visions with the group and “sell” the space to potential clients! Stress and burnout are affecting nurses at alarming rates, leading to a shortage of these vital caregivers in health systems worldwide. That’s why HKS, Inc. created a research coalition alongside Center for Advanced Design Research & Evaluation (CADRE) and MillerKnoll to study causes of burnout for nurses and how physical spaces impact stress levels. Last week, our team had the privilege of attending the IIDA Northern California Honor Awards. It was an amazing evening celebrating creativity, innovation, and this amazing community of people! Our VP of Creative Services, Ai Hamaji, was a presenter for several of the awards while our A&D Director, Tom DiRenzo, received special recognition for his many years of dedication to this event.
