A team of Intersect Power volunteers, alongside leadership from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), recently participated in a food drive in Blythe, CA. Together, we sorted and distributed food to approximately 200 local families, highlighting our shared commitment to combating food insecurity in the Blythe community. This event not only supported those in need but also reinforced our strong partnership with FIND Food Bank. Since 2023, our collaboration with FIND Food Bank has resulted in over $100,000 in contributions to local food banks across Riverside County. Our recent donations include $40,000 to support the Blythe community and $50,000 to the Set Free Desert Center Food Pantry, supporting communities near our Athos III, Oberon & Easley projects. “Intersect Power’s generosity has had a profound impact on our ability to serve the Riverside County community,” said FIND Food Bank President and CEO Debbie Espinosa. “Their contributions are helping us provide essential food and resources to those facing food insecurity. 🌟 Intersect Power Intern Recap 🌟 Last week we wrapped up our second successful internship program. During the program our interns gained immersive industry experience and participated in several professional development opportunities where they learned about the different departments at Intersect. The program culminated with all the interns coming together to present their projects to our leadership team. Their fresh perspectives and innovative approaches have brought new energy to our team, and it’s been inspiring to see their contributions in action. As we wrap up our summer internship program, we want to give a huge thank you to our incredible interns! A special thanks to Mirei Soto, Karl A.K. Zodda, Bianca Giovetti, Bridget Galloway, Alex Chen, Francesca Nguyen, and Thibault Dumazy for all your hard work! This upcoming week, the Intersect Power team volunteers at the FIND Blythe Emergency Pantry (https://brnw.ch/21wLzTz) in Riverside County, home to our Athos III Solar and Storage Facility. Check out Athos III, transforming sunlight into an impressive 310 MWp of solar power! Featuring 673,236 solar panels and 448 MWh of co-located storage, this facility produces enough reliable solar energy to power over 94,000 homes annually. 🌟 We're thrilled to announce our continued partnership with the Texas 4-H Foundation, sponsoring its Opportunity Scholarship Program for another year! 🌟 Texas 4-H, the largest youth development program in the state, serves more than half a million young people annually, awarding scholarships to deserving applicants. This year, we're excited to spotlight Brycen Epperson from Gray County, who received a $10,000 scholarship from Intersect Power. A recent graduate of Texas Connections Academy at Houston, Brycen is set to begin his studies at Clarendon College this fall. 🌟✨ The Intersect Power team had a fantastic time volunteering at Eagle Mountain School in Desert Center, CA! In addition to participating in a campus cleanup event, we provided a donation to fund a new school bus, after-school programming, and campus improvements. 💚 We loved connecting with the students, sharing insights about solar energy, and giving them a tour of our nearby Oberon Solar + Storage Facility.
