The solar industry is ever-changing, and our annual all company gathering, Pine Gate Academy, is a time for us to look to the future together and stay a step ahead. At this Academy, we took deep dives across departments, collaborated with our ACT Power Services partners to ensure the long-term value of our projects, and connected in person with a team that now spans 38 states. Thanks for the conversations, the teamwork, the high fives! 

At Pine Gate, we acknowledge that the energy industry is inherently connected to policy and regulatory activities. Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting North Carolina Governor Josh Stein at our annual company gathering, Pine Gate Academy. Governor Stein joined Ben Catt and Maggie Sasser in a candid conversation about his career and history as a clean energy supporter, his priorities as Governor, and a deep dive into Hurricane Helene recovery efforts – an issue close to home for so many of our colleagues. New year, new hire announcement! Meet Monica Lamb, Pine Gate’s new Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Finance. Monica comes to Pine Gate with over 20 years of experience in legal private practice, government, and clean energy project development. She will play an integral role advising the company’s finance teams as Pine Gate’s development work continues to accelerate. Monica is based in Washington, DC where she spends her free time enjoying the natural and cultural aspects of our nation’s capital.    Please connect with Monica and welcome her to the Pine Gate team. 

Ending the year with a bang‼️Pine Gate Renewables just permitted the nation’s LARGEST solar and storage project! Pine Gate’s Sunstone Solar project received unanimous state regulatory approval from the Oregon Energy Facilities Siting Council. This 1200 MW solar + 1200 MW storage project will go a long way towards meeting the growing demand for clean energy in the Pacific Northwest. https://lnkd.in/emVsZyGF

Big News! We are delighted to announce that MANNA FoodBank - Asheville NC is the first Pine Gate Renewables Community Impact Fund grant recipient! MANNA has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Community Impact Fund to support their vital work to fight hunger and provide food security in Western North Carolina.
