Today we announced that we have received approval for Ray's first mission. This is a major milestone for the team and paves the way for future delivery missions.

We are proud to have been selected for award by the U.S. Space Force for a $71M STRATFI. This will accelerate the development of our next gen autonomous re-entry vehicle, Arc, and is a big step to bring precision delivery to the planet’s toughest spots, in minutes. https://lnkd.in/g35PYyDr

Meet Ray - our pathfinder re-entry vehicle. Ray will be launching to orbit and returning back to Earth this October and is our first step in making space a transportation layer. We’ve developed nearly all of Ray’s subsystems in-house including parachutes, propulsion, software, structures, GNC, separation systems, and much of the avionics system. This allows us to rapidly transition these systems to our next gen vehicle. Ray's mission consists of three major phases:  1) In-Space 2) De-Orbit 3) Re-Entry Each of these phases allow us to gather data on different technical and operational aspects of Ray which will inform our next gen vehicle.
