“Seeing the look of relief from a frightened animal finding their ‘fur-ever’ home makes me keep going back.” — Erin, Talent Acquisition Partner, IPG Health 🐾💙 Erin is giving love and hope to senior animals in need through her volunteer work at her local animal shelter. It all started with Chester, a senior cat who had spent months at the shelter with no applications. One look at his defeated face, and Erin knew she had to give him the happy retirement he deserved. Since then, she’s welcomed another senior cat, Mabel, into her home, and now encourages others to consider adopting or fostering rescue animals. “They truly are some of the sweetest animals you will ever meet, even if they have a tough exterior at first.” Volunteering at the shelter, a passion she shares with her mom, has taught Erin a greater sense of empathy. “The same way you never know the history of a rescue animal, you don't know the history of everyone you work with,” she said. “It's guided me to have a more understanding outlook." ➡️ Swipe to view Chester, Mabel and some other senior pets Erin has worked with.

Caudex | An IPG Health Company’s Senior Medical Strategy Director Sarah is going the distance – driven by her unstoppable determination to achieve her goals in ultrarunning. 🏃♀️ Sarah’s running journey began about 10 years ago, but her focus on ultrarunning has taken off more recently. In her first 24-hour ultrarunning event, she completed an incredible 131 miles. Now, she has her sights set on qualifying for the US National 24-hour team for the 2025 World Championships. “Running was one of the few things that kept me sane during COVID and lockdown,” Sarah reflects. “The running community in London has continued to be a central part of my life." For Sarah, ultrarunning is not just a physical challenge; it’s a mental one, too. “In one 12-hour race that I did, I actually used questions and challenges from work as a distraction technique to keep my brain occupied so that I wouldn't focus on how much longer I had to run or how much things might start to hurt,” she shares. “I've found that the same mental agility and fortitude needed to successfully run an ultra are definitely transferable to solving client challenges.” Sarah hopes her journey inspires others—runners and non-runners alike. “There is so much we can do when we put our minds to it," she said. "So much of ultrarunning is in the head, telling those negative thoughts to get lost, and believing that you're always capable of more.” Photo credit: Justin Goulding
