About us
The Iron Mining Association (IMA) of Minnesota promotes a healthy iron ore industry that will continue to benefit northeastern Minnesota as well as the entire state. It's an industry our communities, state and country depend on today and into the future. The IMA works with stakeholders to: - Promote a stable investment environment. - Promote environmental stewardship. - Promote a positive public image of this vital, long-term, high-tech industry. - Work with educators to ensure a trained and educated workforce. - Strengthen and expand the association's base of support - Promote proactive involvement in public policies that support the industry. - Support the social and economic well being of the communities in which we live. The IMA offers membership levels for: - Producing iron mining companies. - Vendor community members, with levels based on sales to the industry. - Businesses and organizations that do not work directly in the industry but want to show their support. - Individuals who do not work directly in the industry but want to show their support.

All year long, we've been celebrating the 140th birthday of iron mining in Minnesota! At the IMA, we are honored and humbled to represent an industry that has done so much for so many. To the miners of the past and present, THANK YOU. This industry, our communities, and our world wouldn't be what they are today without you.
