🚀 Did you know that if women had the same access to work as men, global GDP could rise by 26%, and Italy’s by 15%? 🌍🇮🇹 Women still hold only 22% of tech jobs in Europe, and when it comes to media representation, men are interviewed as experts in 82% of cases, while women are often seen as moderators. One year after graduation, women earn about 100 euros less per month. That’s like working for free for a month and a half every year. Even in leadership, only 21.4% of managerial roles are held by women. 💡 On the #ITW24 stage, Luna Esposito, content creator and author at Will Media, broke down these numbers and highlighted the need for more women role models in tech—not just as victims or moderators, but as leaders and experts. Curious to learn more about this? Keep following us for more insights! ✨

In the world of venture capital, the trends are shifting rapidly. According to data from Dealroom, global VC funding has seen a pullback from the pandemic-fueled boom, but what stands out is how capital is being allocated more strategically. Investors are looking for startups that can demonstrate not just potential, but resilience and adaptability in a volatile market. In a time of unprecedented disruption, agility and speed are crucial. Startups, with their ability to adapt quickly, are thriving in areas where larger, more established companies struggle to keep pace. Sectors like Generative AI, which has raised over $20 billion in 2023 alone, and Electric Mobility, EV Battery Tech and Space Tech, with more than $30 billion invested globally, are seeing the strongest interest. In this context, the ability to pivot and iterate is more valuable than ever. Startups that offer innovative solutions in sectors like the ones mentioned before are securing funding because they meet the demand for scalable, long-term impact. The focus has shifted from short-term gains to sustainable business models capable of weathering economic shifts. As @Sam Altman suggested during ITW24, we are in a moment where traditional rules are suspended, and startups that can move fast and innovate are poised to lead the way. The future is being shaped by those who are ready to embrace change and seize the opportunities of this dynamic landscape, and we can’t wait to meet and welcome on next year’s stage these people.

"I think pushing for more good instead of less bad is critical." - Sam Altman The Italian Tech Week in Turin has been a unique experience. Being surrounded by people who share your passion and determination creates an environment that makes you want to work on new projects and challenges. Each speaker's talk delivered an important lesson, not just professionally, but also on a personal level. Listening to their stories... you can feel the dedication and effort that each of them has put in to reach their goals. Every minute spent there has been a reminder to look beyond, to aim higher, and, as Sam Altman reminded us, to focus on what can get us to the next level. #ItalianTechWeek #Inspiration #Innovation #Future #Tech #Growth
