JA Moody takes pride in supplying best in class flow control products for our amphibs.

AWIBC members representing at the USS Richard M McCool Jr. commissioning! Out in front of the ship before our tour, we synced up with AWIBC Chair Paul Roden and Layla Croley who focuses on technical sales for JA Moody. As we walked through the ship, Layla pointed out various valves that JA Moody contributed — showing the immense value that JA Moody and all our suppliers provide throughout these complex, state-of-the-art assets for our nation. We thank all of our other AWIBC members who were at the event and all amphibious warship suppliers across the nation for the essential technologies that they produce for these ships.

“Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity – not a threat,” said Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. And that’s certainly the case with manufacturing and supply companies dealing with pipes, pumps and valves. They’ve adopted the concept of innovation and combined it with creativity to deliver products that have made maritime operations smarter, better and safer. JA Moody, a family-owned business, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania and a supplier for over 50 years of cutting-edge flow-control products to the marine industry, mainly the U.S. Navy, is a good example. JA Moody is the authorized sales and service representative for The Hellan Strainer Company and signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Hellan’s full line of manual and automated strainers for the U.S. marine industry. Strainer products are used on military ships for seawater cooling of sonar, radar, close-in weapons systems and other marine applications including lube oil systems, fire main systems and fuel filtration systems. JA Moody provides reliable, proven, American-made, weight-reducing products to our Navy and commercial marine clients.  Allow us to offer the consultative resources and products you need. “It is an exciting day to be an Amphibious Warship Industrial Base Coalition supplier! I am hopeful for the future economic stability of my company now that I know what ships we will be expected to build in the next few years, allowing us to hire, train and retain skilled workers without the fear of letting them go should there not be more work. Advanced procurement funding will help us buy material in bulk and cut down on cost, as well as speed up delivery time. JA Moody is proud to support the mission of the US Navy and United States Marine Corps team and maintain a minimum of 31 ships.   “As I have long noted – including in my recent “Peace Through Strength” report – the multi-ship buy of warships is a cost-effective way to provide stability for the industrial base on key shipbuilding programs. I look forward to seeing these contracts through to their execution, and I believe that additional benefits could be obtained if we increase funding for material procurement in bulk.” - Senator Wicker Read the press release here: https://lnkd.in/eXcwB-br #Shipbuilding #MarineIndustry #USNavy #FluidControl

JA Moody is proud to be the distributor of Curtiss-Wright Corporation- Nu-Torque MIL-Spec actuators. The Nu-Torque MS05 Series actuators are a reduced size unit designed to meet the requirements of the MIL-Spec DOD-V24657 (SH) and the marine environment. Cast silicon bronze housings, bronze and steel gears, shafts and hardware resist marine corrosion and are also the ideal choice for applications requiring low magnetic components. Motors are built to IEEE45, MIL-M-17059 or MIL-M-17060 to provide extended life under the most severe shipboard conditions.
