I spent a long time when I moved to SF fiddling with my commute, and I think I've finally established my dream commute. Now, I get to the Jawnt SF office with a scooter 🛴 and the train 🚆. By using a scooter from Unagi Scooters, I'm able to shave 15 minutes off my commute each way as the nearest Muni metro station is nearly a mile from my home. Plus, it’s fun to cruise down San Francisco hills on a tiny scooter and then catch up on email on the train! It's been great working with Jason Karas to make scooters available to our customers. Even among employers offering transit benefits, workers in the lowest 20% of earners had the lowest likelihood of being offered transit subsidies. The likelihood of being offered these benefits increases with each higher income quintile. What’s happening here is a failure of communication, leaving lower earning employees out in the cold, and creating an inequitable distribution of benefits.

On average, national transit rides are at about 74 percent of pre-pandemic levels, although that varies from region to region.
