Design that Builds Community
About us
Since 1936, JCJ Architecture has built a practice on the union of business and art; an integration that combines our rigorous methods of management, the high standards of design and execution our projects achieve, and the kind of service our clients require and deserve. To be of service and value to our clients, we have developed a keen understanding of their respective businesses, of the challenges they face, and of their aspirations. We approach each project with extensive knowledge of its context and purpose, and with open and inquiring minds. Our experience does not give us predetermined answers—it enables us to ask the right questions. JCJ Architecture's teams of specialists focus on certain project types and execute them exceptionally well. Each of our core markets – education, hospitality, mixed-use, public safety, corporate, performing arts, -- is led by a nationally-renowned director supported by a depth of knowledge within our studios that allows us to provide focused expertise across the country. JCJ has launched a WELL-Environment Strategies Team, which will focus on implementing the WELL Building Standard®, the first protocol of its kind to focus on the health and wellness of occupants within the built environment. This standard identifies specific design strategies, performance targets, and operational policies that can enhance health and well-being when holistically integrated into building architecture and design. This team is led by three of the world's first Provisional WELL APs, professionally trained at the Cleveland Clinic. With offices in Hartford, New York, Boston, Phoenix, San Diego, Tulsa and Las Vegas, JCJ’s talented designers are supported by a business framework that gives structured freedom to their creativity and focus to their purpose: exceeding the objectives of our clients.

Sales Director // FlexFacades by Structurflex: A New Way of Dressing a Bldg (VE Alternative to Perf/Metal Mesh)
We recently worked with JCJ ARCHITECTURE to help transform a dated riverboat in a moat into a stunning modern facade for Bally's Casino in Kansas City. Our team assisted in developing this highly creative solution using fiberglass fabric that not only revitalized the design but also kept costs in check. This project is a testament to how innovative design can breathe new life into existing structures, merging practicality with aesthetic appeal. #Architecture #CreativeDesign

In this recent New England Real Estate Journal publication, JCJ’s Principal Harry Wheeler, AIA delves into the complexities of Boston's urban real estate landscape, emphasizing the need for adaptation to overcome its multifaceted challenges. Harry underscores the critical role of understanding local policies, historical considerations, and effective urban planning strategies in navigating these challenges. By integrating these elements into their approach, architects and developers can craft purposeful and well-informed designs that not only meet stringent regulatory demands but also enhance the communities they serve. https://lnkd.in/egxU9GJi

Exciting news! We recently celebrated a major milestone with the topping off ceremony for Jamul Casino’s new 16-story hotel tower. Scheduled to open in spring 2025, the hotel will feature 200 rooms, including 52 suites, and offer a curated collection of leisure experiences. During the ceremony, we signed the final steel beam and performed a traditional blessing, marking the completion of a significant construction phase. This project represents years of planning and collaboration, and we're grateful to our partners at C.W. Driver Companies for helping bring our vision to life. We look forward to welcoming guests next year and showcasing the hotel's luxurious amenities, including a restaurant with breathtaking views, meeting facilities, a spa, fitness center, and an expansive rooftop pool deck. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along this journey. We can't wait to share the Jamul Casino hotel experience with you all! #TeamJamul #JamulCasino #JamulCasinoSD
