  • 2024's Annual Chamber Golf Tournament blew us away! (Like, literally 💨) We welcomed over 80 golfers to Blackthorn Club for a windy but perfect kind-of-day on the green! In the wake of a regional disaster, we were honored to bring people together for respite, joy and community. Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Bank of Tennessee and the other 55 companies represented on Monday! We could not do this without your partnership, and we look forward to seeing you next year! And don't forget! Planning for the Tweetsie Tee Off will be in full swing (😉) soon! 🏌️♂️

Our next Lunch & Learn is October 24! Join us and attorney Steve Darden for a discussion on the Department of Labor's new overtime law. ⚖️ On January 1, 2025, the DOL's new minimum salary for exempt employees is increasing to $58,656, which means our how our businesses handle employee classification and overtime will be affected. Steve will discuss this new law and what our HR leaders and business executives need to know. 📄 This is a free event with a catered lunch, but registration is REQUIRED! Register at https://lnkd.in/eg6fUmWU!

  • GOLF TOURNAMENT UPDATE ❗❗ The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament will still take place on October 14. As we continue to comprehend the events of this past week, we believe the need for community is greater than ever. While Johnson City was fortunate to not sustain excessive damage, we know our Chambers and organizations in neighboring towns did. That's why we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to Region A.H.E.A.D., lending economic relief to affected businesses. We encourage you to sponsor the tournament and sign up to play, so our donation can be even larger. We look forward to seeing our business community coming together. • The Chamber is truly inspired by the outpouring of support our amazing community has show these past few days. With many of our friends, businesses and partners accepting supply donations, we wanted to identify other ways our community can give to flood relief efforts. The Chamber will be focusing on: 🤲 United Way East TN Highlands's volunteer services and cash donations 💼 Region A.H.E.A.D.'s economic recovery fundraising 🔆 RISE Erwin's fundraising efforts We encourage you to help these programs that we're supporting. If this isn't feasible, please continue doing what you can with whichever organization you can. We will survive this. Together, as #oneappalachia

We had a heartwarming breakfast with Niswonger Children's Hospital and Ballad Health Behavioral Health service line two weeks ago! We joined over 60 business leaders, at the beautiful Grace Meadows Farm, to hear what Niswonger and Ballad Health are doing to treat, support and care for the most vulnerable members of our community. ❤️🩹 These organizations, with the support of hundreds of caring and committed staff, make Northeast Tennessee the best place for business and the best place to call home. 🪁 👩⚕️
