  • At the Jewish Fertility Foundation, we believe that education is empowering, and CEO & Founder Elana Frank shares more about this in her guest appearance on 🦍Keenan Hart💜 's podcast.

Feeling unsure with your doctor? Here’s what to do next. Most people feel uneasy but never speak up. They think, “The doctor knows best, right?” But Elana Frank, CEO of the Jewish Fertility Foundation, says that’s where most people get it wrong. You should *always* feel empowered to ask questions. It’s okay to push back if something feels off. It’s okay to get a second opinion. Just because your doctor suggests a treatment doesn’t mean it’s the only path forward. Here’s what you can do: 1. Ask the tough questions. 2. Trust your gut. 3. Explore other options if needed. You wouldn’t settle in business—why settle with your health? For more insights on advocating for yourself in healthcare, check out the latest episode of Hart & Hustle with Elana Frank down in the comments.

Career vs. Family: Why are we forced to choose? We’re told to build our careers first. Get a degree.   Climb the ladder.   Then start a family. But biology doesn’t wait. Elana Frank, CEO of the Jewish Fertility Foundation, had her third child at 40.  It wasn’t easy.  She used embryo donation, a solution many don’t know exists.  The truth is, many people wait too long.  At 43, they ask, “Did I miss my chance?” Here’s what Elana says: Don’t assume your options are limited.  There are solutions most people never consider.  Embryo donation is just one of them.  If family planning feels overwhelming, ask the tough questions.  Advocate for yourself.  Explore all the options, even the ones you haven’t heard of.  Want to hear more from Elana? She’s helping others navigate this tough decision on the latest episode of Hart & Hustle down in the comments. Check it out and rethink what’s possible.

  • While we're sad we're not at ASRM 2024 (FOMO is real!), we know we're doing the right thing focusing all our $$$ on grants to help folks afford their treatment. FULL STATEMENT: The Jewish Fertility Foundation deeply values the American Society for Reproductive Medicine - ASRM and its contributions to advancing fertility science and care. While we would have loved to participate in this year's annual conference in Denver, we have made the difficult decision to prioritize our resources towards grants instead of attending the conference as we would have liked to do. As a nonprofit organization, our primary mission is to support individuals and families in their fertility journeys. We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for our fertility grants, which provide crucial financial assistance to those who might otherwise be unable to afford fertility treatments. To meet this growing need, we have decided to allocate our limited funds directly towards these grants, ensuring that we can help as many people as possible achieve their dream of growing their families. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and partnership with ASRM and other partners in the fertility community, and we remain committed to our mission of making fertility treatment accessible to all who need it. We hope to have a presence there next year, and we hope all those who are able to attend this year have a wonderful experience!

CEO of Sunfish I Tech Investor

If you have friends who've been through IVF, egg freezing, surrogacy... you know it's VERY expensive. Sunfish is doing everything we can to make the process more affordable. A big piece of that is partnering with groups that can help people who need assistance -- outside of our discounted bundles and financing options. 💸 I am very excited to participate in a discussion this Thursday at 12 PT / 3 ET with the leaders of Chosen Infertility (Lauren Clements), the Jewish Fertility Foundation (Julie Cohen), and myself! Please join us. #healthtech #fintech #IVF #fertility #eggfreezing
