With October right around the corner, this is to remind any building in the City of Boston with a flammables permit of the requirement to renew prior to October 1, 2024. If no chemical inventory changes have occurred, your flammable permits will automatically be renewed, and no action is required on your part. Last Thursday, our team from Jigsaw Life Safety, including Alex, Andrew, and Connor, took our specialized valve trailer to the Watertown Fire Department for an instructive demonstration tailored for firefighters. The session focused on hands-on learning about different sprinkler systems including wet, dry, and pre-action. Participants gained practical skills in draining systems post-activation and deepened their understanding of fire alarm panels, cabling, and notification/initiation devices. We are committed to enhancing safety knowledge and are thrilled to announce that we will return to Watertown three more times to extend this training across the entire city. This past Tuesday, Alex Riley, P.E. delivered a guest lecture on hydraulic calculations and hydraulic calculation software at WPI.
