About us
We are a coalition of organizations brought together and committed to advancing one common goal, job creation in Minnesota. Co-founded by the Minnesota Building and Trades Council and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Jobs for Minnesotans consists of organizations that represent real, every day Minnesotans: businesses, middle class workers, labor and local governments among others. Working together through this coalition, business and labor hope to inform Minnesotans about the enormous opportunity, an opportunity our state is literally sitting on top of, to create thousands of jobs while revitalizing the economy of northeastern Minnesota. This opportunity is the development of strategic metals mining. Historically, Minnesota was built off the mining industry and strategic metals mining can revive not only the industry, but jobs and economic development for the state.

From the World Economic Forum: “Rising demand for low-carbon technologies is escalating the need for critical minerals. In fact, the energy transition could more than double the overall demand for critical minerals by 2030, according to the International Energy Agency. To establish a secure global supply of critical minerals, materials markets must balance three priorities: availability, affordability and sustainability.“ Read more: https://lnkd.in/gJ4HEZiU
