In August 2023, Joby and the Federal Aviation Administration worked together to measure the propeller "outwash" of our aircraft, or the speed of the airflow from its propellers. The resulting data shows that the Joby aircraft's outwash does not present an increased risk relative to traditional light helicopters and is acceptable within established safety areas for heliports of all sizes. We will continue to work proactively with the FAA and other stakeholders to promote safety in vertical flight and prepare for commercial deployment.
