About us

In the Spring and Summer of 1946, the John Street Insurance Association was founded by four individuals: Rutledge Bermingham, Jr. of the Home Insurance Company, Hawley T. Chester, Jr of Chubb and Son, Solon C. Kelley, III of Associated Aviation Underwriters and H.H. Salmon, III of the Marine Office of America. 76 years later, the John Street Insurance Association is New York City’s preeminent forum for discussions about the future of the insurance industry and for meeting industry leaders. The club’s luncheons are not to be missed – there is no better way to hear executives from the leading insurance companies speak as candidly about the industry and its future as they do when addressing the John Street Insurance Association.
