The Joint SDG Fund supports countries accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to deliver on the commitment of the 2030Agenda to leave no one behind. The transformative nature of the 2030 Agenda hinges on all segments of society urgently coming together to launch sustainable and inclusive growth trajectories within a short period of time. To transform our world we need integrated economic, social and environmental policies, informed by a rights based agenda, along with significant volumes of new financing. The Joint SDG Fund will incentivize countries to draw on cutting edge expertise and innovation from across the United Nations development system and a broad range of partners to strategically invest in SDG acceleration that is tailored to different country contexts.

📲 A new joint programme has been launched today to strengthen 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 in #Kyrgyzstan. 🤝 Supported by the United Nations Joint SDG Fund, Spain and Sweden, the programme is led by the United Nations in Kyrgyzstan, guided by the UN Resident Coordinator, Antje Grawe. The World Health Organization Kyrgyzstan will take the lead on this by collaborating closely with UNDP Kyrgyzstan, UNICEF Kyrgyzstan, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Kyrgyzstan, and several ministries of the Kyrgyz government. Running from 2024 to 2027 with a budget of $4.03 million, the programme will enhance digital health services, boost telemedicine, and improve government e-health services, particularly for women, children, and vulnerable groups in rural areas. 👨⚕️ Key initiatives include connecting three million vaccination records to the national electronic health platform, providing 225,000 children with essential immunizations, and enabling 200,000 people to access lab results online. Additionally, 120,000 people with disabilities will receive digital certificates, and 280,000 will have digital sick leave certificates. 👶 Telemedicine will offer consultations to 700,000 children, and 60 health facilities will provide specialized care to 140,000 mothers and newborns, all connected to the EHR platform. 🎥 Check out he key highlights from the exciting launch of our new programme! 📲 Digital transformation is underway in Kyrgyzstan as a new joint programme launches, with UNRCO and WHO, UNDP, UNICEF, and UNFPA supported by United Nations Joint SDG Fund. This initiative will create a unified digital health ecosystem, making essential medical information and services more accessible for 7.1 million people in the country. 👶🏻 About 225,000 children under one year will get immunization services, with their records accessible to parents through the Digital Health Profile, adding 3 million vaccination records to the national health database. 📊 Led by World Health Organization Kyrgyzstan, UNDP Kyrgyzstan, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) , and ЮНИСЕФ Кыргызстан, and funded by the European Union, Spain, and Sweden, this program will enhance Kyrgyzstan's digital health systems, particularly for women, children, and vulnerable populations in rural and remote areas, ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare.
