Our vision is to be amongst the highest quality, most responsive and respected design firms in the Northwest. In 2013 JRJ architects transferred ownership from the original 1977 founder, Jon Randolph (Randy) Jurgens, to our current Principal owner, Thomas A. Wesel, AIA. As we enter our 45th year of practice, we look forward to continuing to build long term relationships with our peers, our environment and most importantly, our clients.

A quick peek into the fantastic progress our team has made at the Providence St. Vincent emergency department. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2025, and the new arrival zone (pictured below) is one of the many milestones we are proud to share. Huge shoutout to JRJ Architects and our trade partners for their dedication to bettering our communities.
The Providence St. Vincent emergency department (ED) team is celebrating the midpoint in a two-year hospital expansion in Portland. The 57,250-square-foot project involves expanding the patient room count and upgrading the ED. Work is taking place while the ED remains occupied, requiring a comprehensive four-phased schedule to minimize disruptions. Crews recently turned over half of the new waiting room and will have the new behavior health unit open for patient care by late October! Great work, team, and thanks to our trade partners: OEG, Inc., Total Mechanical, Inc., Arctic HVAC and Harlen’s Drywall.
