Peer Suport Training helps you better support and identify those in your community whom are experiencing mental health challenges At Jubilee, we are excited to offer peer support specialist training for community college, undergraduate or graduate students who identify as Black, have lived experience of mental illness or substance abuse, and have a passion for healing others. With POEM taking place at Jubilee, we expand upon restorative justice, mindfulness, and ecological and ancestral healing through meditation and land-based healing. Forest therapy has its roots in shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”), a practice originating in Japan that emphasizes the measurable health benefits of immersing oneself in nature.
