What Kind of Difference Do You Want to Make? I love today’s quote from Jane Goodall: “What you do makes a difference, and you decide what kind of difference you want to make.” The quote isn’t whether we will make a difference, it asks what kind of difference we want to make. It’s an invitation to be intentional about how we choose to make a difference in our family, company, community or world. Whether it’s mentoring a young person, advocating for causes that matter, or simply showing kindness and integrity, every act counts. I decided many years ago that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children , which is why I have chosen to give my time and focus to organizations that focus on the well-being of children. It’s why I love our work at Junior Achievement of South Florida. We empower young people to be difference-makers, to shape their futures and influence their communities and our world. It’s about giving them the tools and confidence to dream big and execute on those dreams. What kind of difference do you want to make? Be bold. Choose to make the difference that matters most to you.

I am so proud to be part of Junior Achievement of South Florida, such an amazing organization in so many ways. Such an incredible staff of people to work and volunteer with. This particular event, Girls Rule connects inspirational women role models in our community with local high school girls from select partner schools. Through mentorship, these girls will hone their leadership skills, explore all that women can be, learn to embrace their dreams and start their journey to success. #circleofwisewomen

If we want to change how students engage with education, we need to change how we teach it. That’s exactly what happened at the recent Stock Market Challenge, part of the partnership between Broward County Public Schools and Junior Achievement of South Florida. This high-energy, real-world simulation gave students a taste of what it’s like to navigate the fast-paced world of investing - and they loved it. Programs like this don’t just teach financial literacy; they spark curiosity, boost confidence, and make learning relevant. They show students that the future doesn’t have to be scary or overwhelming, it can be exciting and full of possibilities. We are fortunate to have educational leaders who get it and are committed to transforming education with curriculum and experiences that connect students to the real world of work, entrepreneurship, and life skills like financial literacy. Howard Hepburn, Angela R. Fulton, Ph.D. , @guy barmoha, Eric M. Chisem (Hall of Famer), Debbi Hixon Brenda Fam Jeff Holness Rebecca Thompson Nora Rupert Allen Zeman, PhD Lori Alhadeff Sarah Leonardi Maura McCarthy Bulman Experiential education sticks with students long into the future. They’ll remember this learning for many yesrs to come! Let’s keep working together to create education and experiences that inspire and engage students. The World Comes Together! This week we have the privilege of hosting team members from JA Worldwide. It is an absolute honor to welcome such passionate leaders led by CEO, Asheesh Advani, from across the globe for their strategic retreat. Being part of this dynamic and diverse global network reminds us of the incredible power of collaboration. While each JA region has its own unique needs and opportunities, we are united by a shared mission: to prepare young people for a successful future in a global economy. We are proud to showcase how Junior Achievement of South Florida embraces the JA brand, which is reflected in our recent facility make-over and to share how we’ve developed deep and impactful workforce development programs to meet the specific needs of our students and community. Everything we do is rooted in what our children need to be ready for the future. Grateful for the chance to learn, share, and grow alongside our JA Worldwide family from around the globe. And to hear the powerful story of Ralph de la Vega, longtime JA board member and advocate. Looking forward to seeing you all soon at the Global Leadership Conference in Rio de Janeiro!!! #JuniorAchievement
