As global leaders arrive for this year’s United Nations General Assembly, there is unprecedented level of attention devoted to #brain-related issues at the accompanying Science Summit at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). During the first of the two Brain Days @ UNGA, the discussion will focus on the global partnerships for brain research, at a superb event organised by European Brain Council, Brain Capital Alliance and Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy. Paweł Świeboda, the Founder of NeuroCentury and the Steering Committee Member of Brain Capital Alliance, will co-chair the second day, together with the amazing Harris Eyre MD PhD. This day will be focused on Brain Capital Building. In recognition of the importance that various US states attach to matters of the brain, we will have the distinct privilege of welcoming Governors Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania and Jay Inslee of Washington. The event will not only feature the UN launch of the Brain Capital Industrial and Innovation Strategy and the Brain Capital Dashboard, but also announce the creation of the first global venture fund focused on brain capital, the HEKA Fund by Newfund and Fondation FondaMental. The day will provide a 360° overview of the novel concept of brain capital, where the premium is placed on brain skills and brain health. From mental health, through education and workforce development, economic security and resilience, sustainability and the built environment, there is hardly an aspect of our socio-economic reality where the brain dimension is not relevant. We will, therefore, end the day by strategising how to design and implement national and regional Brain Deals, new socio-economic contracts needed to prepare societies for the acceleration of technological change, including new advances in #AI.
