About us
Karp Strategies is a WBE and DBE-certified urban planning and strategy consulting firm that partners with clients to identify their unique needs and provide tailored solutions to strengthen cities. By incorporating people, data and place as core tenants of our approach, we help our cross-sector clients move from analysis to action, allowing them to tackle challenges, make informed decisions, and advance their projects. With deep, cross-sector experience, the Karp Strategies team advises clients through our technical analysis, strategy, and communications services. Our team: • Conducts thorough and thoughtful planning and economic analyses of neighborhoods that surround projects, including examining demographic, employment, business, and overall economic and market trends, and surfacing all trajectory options to inform client decision-making. • Provides clients a valuable return on their investment, measured in numerous ways, including: surfacing critical information about a local market, securing stakeholder buy in, appealing to key demographic markets, and helping deliver projects on time and on budget. • Designs and executes inclusive, holistic stakeholder and community engagement and outreach strategies to understand and reflect diverse community and client needs. The inclusion of multiple perspectives often makes projects stronger by achieving community understanding or buy in, and likely ensuring fewer delays in the long term. • Develops short, medium, and long-term visions and solutions with and for clients to ensure that all hurdles, including regulatory ones, are successfully mapped out and overcome. • Directly manages projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency. • Incorporates equity, inclusion, and access as a framework across projects. Based in New York City, Karp Strategies works nationwide, with a portfolio that grows larger each month.
