KTL Principal Joseph Tell will be moderating a panel on climate innovation at the 2025 Inaugural Symposium on Climate Innovation & Finance on April 4 at Claremont McKenna College. We are looking forward to joining this world-renowned group of speakers and panelists to discuss climate innovation and finance.
It is with a lot of pride and joy that I announce our Inaugural Symposium on Climate Innovation & Finance ("SCIF") at Claremont McKenna College (CMC). This has been in the making for quite some time, and we are finally ready to share it with everyone. If you are a current member of the CMC community or an alum / parent, please come and join us on Friday, April 4th, 10am-4pm, at our beloved Athenaeum. The program is exciting, and has several colleagues from Europe as well as from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography joining us as panelists and speakers. We have two keynote speakers: Vanessa Scott will speak about innovations in the Blue Economy and Arnaud Blandin, world-renowned for his ideas on "Compassionomics", will speak about the economics of technological innovation and how that helps us better address major challenges facing humanity. We also have an exciting set of panel discussions, centered around Innovation and Finance of Climate. The panelists and moderators include: David Almström (of Northvolt), Brian Huff (of Sandvik), Todd Thomas (founder of WoodChuck.ai), Joseph Tell (Member of the Directors Council at Scripps Institution of Oceanography), Oskar Lund (Senior Adivsor at AirForestry), Anna Skarborg (founder of the The Meadow Foundation), and John Shrewsberry (CFO of GoodLeap). I couldn't have asked for a more exciting set of speakers for this first attempt at starting the Climate Innovation & Finance conversation on our campus. Thanks a lot to many who worked in the background to make this event possible, but special thanks to Christopher Grahn, without whom this would have remained just an idea! I look forward to seeing you! Please register at https://lnkd.in/gMY-3G3m
