Our Science and Technical Support Section is looking for a Senior Field Hydrologist (Environmental Scientist III) to join the Watershed and Ecological Assessment Team (WEAT). You’ll manage critical monitoring sites supporting long-term hydrology monitoring and habitat restoration. This role involves salmon restoration, stormwater, floodplain, and wastewater management, and even improving efforts to better coexist with beavers. You’ll install and maintain flow, stage, and rain gages, manage data, and coordinate with partners. As a Senior Field Hydrologist, you’ll track hydrology, a key environmental indicator, and provide data for county programs. Rendering vs. reality King County Parks celebrated the opening of a steel bridge that crosses the White River connecting King and Pierce counties with 22 miles of uninterrupted paved trails. The 572-foot-long weathered steel bridge – funded primarily by the King County Parks Levy – completes a regional trail that connects 280,000 residents, schools, business districts, and civic centers while offering scenic views of Mount Rainier.
