    Young men from scores of schools across the United States and Canada are preparing to participate in the College Councils Conference in New Haven, Connecticut, in a few days. Last year, college Knights gathered for the annual event under the theme “Mary and Her Knights,” where they were encouraged to entrust their works of charity, unity and fraternity to Mary’s intercession.

    With donations from the Knights of Columbus, religious sisters in Poland and Ukraine are providing education, shelter and food for refugees of the war. And the benefits of the aid are not only material: “All the communities that want to help — their tremendous support — [gives us] the feeling that we are in this together,” says Sister Mateusza Ciszewska, a Sister of St. Joseph in Stryi, a city in western Ukraine.     KNIGHTS IN ACTION: Members of Benedicto XVI Council 18211 in Mérida, Mexico South, gather around a new reliquary commissioned by the council to hold a first-class relic of Blessed Michael McGivney. The council hired a local master carpenter to craft the wooden reliquary, which features the Order’s emblem on one side. The relic will be displayed at Santa Ana Parish and will be hosted by other K of C councils for veneration at surrounding parishes.
