Hurricane Helene, and now Milton, has caused widespread devastation across the southeastern United States, leaving people without homes and communities destroyed. With current issues like power outages, flooding, and limited supplies, it’s time for us to remember that charity is at the heart of what we do. Knights of Columbus stands ready to serve the victims of this widespread storm by providing gift cards, water, MREs, and financial assistance through our brother Knights on the ground in areas affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We have Knights of Columbus members on the ground serving families and communities that need support, even as they face their own personal loss from this devastating storm. As Knights of Columbus, we are United in Charity, especially in times of great need such as now. We ask for your support in prayers and donations to help these families whose lives were just upended. As always, 100% of your donation goes to aid those we serve through our charitable programs. Donate now: https://ow.ly/uTGm50TJ5lc

The Hispanic community brings beautiful, vibrant traditions to our Catholic faith, offering meaningful ways to celebrate and live out our beliefs. Here’s a glimpse into three beloved traditions we will observe in the remainder of this year: Día de Muertos, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Las Posadas. 1. Día de Muertos 💀🕯️An All Souls Day celebration honoring the souls of loved ones who have passed away, living an inculturated Catholic faith through our traditions. Out of love and respect for their forbears, families create altars, offer prayers, and celebrate life through remembrance. Family members are also encouraged to visit cemeteries and pray for all souls. 2. Our Lady of Guadalupe🌹🙏The beloved patroness of the Americas, the Philippines, and the Knights of Columbus who appeared to St. Juan Diego in 1531. Her image and maternal message of unity, hope, and faith continue to inspire millions today. 3. Las Posadas 🏠🌟A nine-day novena and reenactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for shelter that is celebrated with processions, prayers, gatherings, and dramas that encourage us to reflect on the mysteries of the Nativity. Celebrated in the nine days before Christmas, Las Posadas reminds us of the true meaning of the feast—welcoming Christ into our hearts. #HispanicHeritageMonth #FaithAndCulture #HerenciaHispana #FeYHerencia

Among them is brother Knight Bishop Pablo Virgilio David of Kalookan, who is also the president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). Cardinal-designate David was also on hand this Spring for the dedication of the McGivney Library at the Pontifical Filipino College in Rome. Congratulations Cardinal-designate David! Your brother Knights are praying for you! (Photo by Tamino Petelinšek)

Last year, college Knights gathered for the annual event under the theme “Mary and Her Knights,” where they were encouraged to entrust their works of charity, unity and fraternity to Mary’s intercession.
