Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to say that the Quality Control Department (QC) of our Advanced Interlayer Solutions Division has been accident-free for a significant 6000 days! This team handles up to 50 tonnes of raw glass per year – a delicate, risk-prone material that requires proper handling – so this is a huge achievement. But they’re not stopping there – the team is now working towards its next goal of being 7000 days accident-free. Creating a safe working environment is always a top priority at Kuraray. Our high standards, rigorous processes and routine safety talks and reminders make a difference. We’ve had an Olympics of our own at Kuraray this summer! 🏉🏃♀️ Our company culture is built on our teamwork – so this summer, our team laced up their running shoes to take part in sporting events to strengthen bonds and support the communities we work in. Runners from team Kuraray took part in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Run, hitting the pavement to support Laureus, an organisation that promotes transformative sports programmes for young people in disadvantaged areas, and the Deutsche Behindertensportjugend (DBSJ),the youth arm of the German Disabled Sports Association. But that’s not all! Our team also took part in the Firmenlauf Bonn company run, helping strengthen team bonds outside of the office, and a group of soccer enthusiasts competed in the Business Cup 2024, a football tournament for German companies. Excitingly, our football team made it all the way to the finals in Düsseldorf! We’re proud of the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and team spirit our colleagues brought to every one of these challenges – and we’re looking forward to more events to come!
