🎉 Move over Gordon Ramsay- We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our first cohort of chefs from our Adult Day Culinary Class! Over the past 10 weeks, participants had the chance to master cooking techniques and gain valuable customer service skills. By the end of the course, each participant earned their very own certificate, which now recognizes them as skilled cooks, ready to take on the kitchen. Who is ready to “cheese” the day with homemade pizza? Our recent Calabrese Youth Center volunteers are!🧀 Recently, our Laradon Foundation Board Member Melissa Overboe rallied together her friends & family to volunteer to cook and serve food for our CYC teens ! 🍕🍉🌽 The meal included delicious homemade pizza, refreshing watermelon, and tasty corn on the cob. And, the cherry on top of this great meal? The volunteers served up ice cream for dessert, which was the perfect treat to beat the summer heat! 🌟 Our volunteers dedication to making these events special and memorable for our teens never goes unnoticed. It’s safe to say our volunteers have a pizza our hearts. 🙌 #EmpoweringPossibilities ✨

August is here and so is a new Laradon School graduate. Join us in saying con-grad-ulations to Jon! 🎓 🎓 🎓 Jon has been at Laradon for over 7 years. When he first started at Laradon, Jon was shy. But, now he knows every single person at the school and checks in on every single classroom. Jon’s success was measured in how he makes people feel. For anyone who knows Jon, they know that’s loved and appreciated. Jon will be transitioning into an adult program, and we could not be more excited for his next chapter. Also, fun fact: Jon loves a good count to three followed by a “peace out” ✌️. So, on a one, two, three from all of us at Laradon…peace out and good luck, Jon!
