As a supervisor or manager, delegating is a cornerstone to successful team building and project completion. It means you're giving trust responsibility for an important task to another individual. Senior leaders often take delegation style into account when considering candidates for promotion or advancement opportunities. Understanding your own delegation style can help you prepare for team initiatives and any new opportunities that come your way. #leadershiptips #leadership #team #culture #excellence

🌟 What a Week! 🌟 We've just wrapped up an incredible week of training and team-building activities with our partners at Tri-County Electric Cooperative - Florida and Wild Rice Electric Cooperative, MN! In Florida, Claude Kershner IV, DBA led our annual refresher training on performance management, ensuring that the team at Tri-County Electric is equipped with the skills and insights to continue driving success. Claude’s dedication and expertise make a significant impact every time he steps into the room. Meanwhile, in Minnesota, Bo Todd and Shawn Tenace took our team-building efforts to the next level with an Outdoor Team Building exercise at Wild Rice Electric. Mother Nature held out for most of the event, however, the team's resilience and camaraderie shined through, turning every obstacle into an opportunity for growth. 👟 Building stronger teams isn't just something we talk about – it’s something we live and breathe, indoors and out. Whether we're in the classroom or out in the field, we're committed to empowering teams to achieve excellence. 💬 A big shoutout to everyone involved – your energy, commitment, and drive make all the difference. Let's continue to push the boundaries and set new standards in leadership and performance. #Leadership #TeamBuilding #ElectricCooperatives #PerformanceManagement #OutdoorLeadership #humanresources

Managing Principal at A.R.C.H. | Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship & Venture Development

Had the privilege of working with Tri-County Electric Cooperative - Florida in Madison on behalf of LDR Leadership. After Hurricane Debby, TCEC has been hard at work serving members and restoring power. Through LDR frameworks, we refreshed on how to Motivate, Engage, and Empower teams despite organizational tensions due to environmental turbulence. Grateful for the time spent with TCEC’s dedicated leadership and management team, who are committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable power while serving their community. #Leadership #CommunityService #Resilience #ElectricCooperative

Leaders today need to revisit an overlooked skill: asking questions. Especially in the midst of crisis and uncertainty, leaders should ask compelling and inspiring questions. Asking good questions can put your team on the path to solving challenging problems, help them connect more deeply, and earn your - and each other's - trust. The most impactful questions should be big in scope: What are new opportunities we don’t want to miss? How can we use technology to change our business model? And... don't be afraid to involve others in answering those questions —employees, stakeholders, mentors, and even customers. Involving others can only help generate better answers and help to better integrate your organization’s culture. #leadership #leadershiptips #team #culture #excellence

A leader's most important responsibility is to create an environment where teams and team members can do their best work, accomplish great results, and demonstrate respect for others. Here are five universal truths and tips on how great leaders build great teams: 1️⃣ People First - A leader's most important task is to build a team of people around them that are engaged and capable of advancing the organizational mission. The best strategy is to have a group of people who can adapt to and perform brilliantly no matter what changes or challenges arise. Great leadership is irrelevant without great people. 2️⃣ Clear Goals and Roles - It's a leader's responsibility to create a foundation for team success. This success starts by establishing an environment where employees have clear and aligned goals and roles. 3️⃣ Effective Core Processes - Every team has a handful of core processes that facilitate efficiency, scalability, and performance. A leader should ensure that team members understand which core processes are essential for their team success. 4️⃣ High-Trust Environment - Great leaders invest in creating a trusting work environment and take the necessary steps for the whole team to feel safe in taking reasonable risks. Establishing an inclusive team environment that invites equal voice and values all team member perspectives is not created by accident. 5️⃣ Problem-Solve Important Issues - The best teams are great at problem-solving. Resolving ongoing issues that get in the way of accomplishing strategic team goals are the central component of a high performance team's recurring meetings. #leadership #leadershiptips #team #culture #excellence
