Earlier this week, Amira Choice Champlin hosted Senator John Hoffman, chair of the Human Services Finance & Policy Committee. He was joined by Brett K. Anderson, President & CEO of Ebenezer, Abby Schulz, LNHA, LALD, Executive Director at Amira Choice Champlin, and Erin Huppert, VP of Advocacy at LeadingAge Minnesota. They had a great conversation about important investments in 2023 for Elderly Waiver and the need to ensure payment is indexed to current wages, as well as the important role that Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) play in serving seniors in assisted living communities. Sen. Hoffman also had the opportunity to meet with resident constituents of Amira Choice. Sen. Hoffman will be returning to the Capitol in January for the 2025 legislative session, since he is not up for re-election this year.
