  • 👨🏫 👩🏫 New teacher academy is one of our favorite weeks of the year. 140 new educators come in to learn about the district, meet each other and get to know the community they've chosen to join. 🍎 Their week began with the New Teacher Breakfast hosted by the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce where many received baskets filled with new school supplies donated by members of the community. 🤝 They've had introductions to administrators, different departments at central office and each teacher received a New Teacher Grant worth $100 courtesy of the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and its supporters. Welcome to LSR7 we are so excited you're here! #R7Proud

  • 🐅 The LSHS tiger head is back on the school 🐅 This enormous statue will now overlook the football stadium thanks in part to two important groups. 🐯 LSR7's facilities team who prioritized getting the statue off the building in one piece because they knew how much it meant to alumni 🐯 LSHS honors art students led by Mrs. Angela Hays. They revitalized and refreshed the tiger so it looks as good as when it arrived to the high school as a class gift in the 70s! Amazing work by all and thank you to the crews who hung the tiger back up - it looks incredible and ready for a new school year! #R7Proud
