This past Friday, the CSBA visited Bloomberg, Amazon, and Pinterest in their NYC offices. It was a great experience visiting each of these offices and learning about the respective companies and some of the amazing projects they work on. Thank you to everyone who made the event possible especially Mike Liebman, Curtis Darst, Christian Doms, and Jordan Cutler. We highly appreciate you all organizing alumni and recruiting panels, they shared invaluable information with our students which will surely help them in their careers.

Last Friday, I hosted 35 Lehigh University Computer Science and Business students at the Pinterest NYC office. But this wasn't just any set of students. It was the same university and same program I was in 6 years ago. At the time, my class's visit was to the Google NYC office and PwC. Now, 6 years later, I get to pay it forward and host the same group I was part of. We taught them all the tips and tricks we wished we had on landing an interview, passing it, and succeeding on the job. And man, it was a ton of fun filled with amazing questions. You could just tell every single student was on top of their game and was going places. I'll be honest though, initially when I was reached out to, I was worried I wouldn't be able to pull this off or have the time. But I knew paying it forward was the right thing to do, especially since it was done for me years ago--and they made it work. Well, not only was it the right thing to do, but it was one of the best things I could have agreed to. I met so many awesome students, created a bunch of new work connections, and got experience hosting and coordinating events. So when you get opportunities like this, and you have that voice in the back of your head telling you, "just say no. that's the easy thing to do," try to find a way to make it work. The experience you get will be worth it. Big shout-out to those who made the event possible 🙏: • CSBA Student organization - Julian Chattopadhyay for coordinating • Eng panel: Rebecca Yi Irena Lee , Josh Arriola , Karthik Subramanian • Recruiting: Ali Khan • Our amazing event staff: Samantha Levenstein , Adriana Milanian

Alison Yim ’24 is heading to Microsoft! With the help of her first-year mentor and the CSB Association, Alison met and was inspired by Microsoft intern Sam Sausville ’23. She built her resume through projects, hackathons, and freelance work, and partnered with Develop for Good to launch a website for a nonprofit. After gaining experience and working with the Center for Career and Professional Development, she secured an internship with Microsoft. She returned the following year and met Lilly Zhu ’21, another wonderful mentor. By the end of her second internship, Alison earned a full-time position working on Azure cloud computing. Wondering where the Class of 2024 is headed? Wonder no longer. https://lnkd.in/e7WyviE2 #LehighAlumni #Lehigh #ClassOf2024 #LehighUniversity
