At Leonard's, we do our best to disrupt the monotony of sedentary work life with programs and philanthropic opportunities our people are passionate about. Not only does this help break up a workday and reinvigorate productivity, but it galvanizes mental and physical well-being. One surefire way to boost the serotonin of the masses is by embracing our pet-friendly culture and collective love for animals. That said, our Employee Engagement team actively seeks out creative solutions and opportunities to support our beloved Co-Pilots, along with local shelters and rescues in our community. Last month, we introduced the Co-Pilot of the Year program to raise funds for Humane Societies across the United States and engage all employees in a feel-good activity. This program invites employees to submit photos of their pets for the chance to be named the Co-Pilot of the Year. Employees then vote by making donations to the pets they want to win, and then the total amount of money raised is sent to a Humane Society or local shelter of the owner's choice. In Farmington, we were able to raise $1,043.09 for the Wayne County Humane Society’s Capital Campaign in the name of Leonard’s Express, Inc.’s first annual Co-Pilot of the Year, Tennessee Holler. ☺️

In honor of #InternationalWomensDay, we are thrilled to recognize and celebrate Leonard's Express driver, Sandy Winters, as a finalist in the Women In Trucking Association Driver of the Year Program! Meet Sandy: Sandy has built a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years. After serving four years in the U.S. Army, she transitioned into trucking in 1993 after a friend recognized her natural talent for handling large vehicles. Since then, she has driven a variety of equipment – including ink tankers, flatbeds, step decks, dry van doubles, and reefers – covering routes across the United States and Canada. A highly awarded safe driver, Winters is known for her strong work ethic and willingness to mentor the next generation. She believes experienced drivers play a key role in shaping the future of the trucking industry, and she takes pride in guiding newcomers toward success. For Winters, trucking is not just a job – it’s a passion, and she strives to be the best at it every day. To the Women In Trucking Association, women behind the wheel, in dispatch, safety, logistics, and beyond—thank you for keeping freight moving and breaking barriers along the way. Let's continue championing equity and empowering the minority because let's face it, women in trucking aren't just good for business—they are essential to the future of the industry! On behalf of Leonard's Express Inc., our dynamic father-daughter team, Elise Johnson and Kyle Johnson, have officially accepted the 2025 Best Fleets to Drive For award at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina! Being a family-owned and operated conglomerate is no small feat, as it amalgamates two important aspects in people's lives that are not often associated with one another: Family and business. The Johnson family has successfully leveraged this combination with care and consideration for their people, instilling values of family, community, and equal opportunity. This leadership style lends itself to our company's collaborative, and driver-centric culture. Ultimately, it is these values that are not only conducive to our continued success in the Best Fleets to Drive For program, but also to our success in trucking. "To win in a marketplace, you must first win in the workplace." Congratulations to the companies recognized alongside Leonard's Express. Here's to raising the bar even higher next year! #BestFleetsToDriveFor #CompanyCulture #FamilyBusiness #Trucking
