Professional Driver Named TCA Highway Angel for Extinguishing Fire at Nighttime Crash TCA has named Matt Harris from Ione, CA, a TCA Highway Angel for his heroic actions during a nighttime crash in Lakehead, CA. On February 18, 2025, Harris encountered a tractor-trailer that had crashed and caught fire on I-5. Without hesitation, Harris pulled over, grabbed his fire extinguisher, and focused on putting out the flames near the fuel tank. The truck driver, unharmed but in shock, had already exited the vehicle. Harris' quick response and decisive actions helped prevent a potential disaster. With over 30 years of experience on the road, Harris stops to help others because, as he says, "Do unto others—the Golden Rule." Harris drives for ABF Freight out of Fort Smith, AR.
