In the wake of Hurricane Milton and the Governor’s Order declaring a state of emergency in Florida, be aware that Florida Statutes provides that the deadlines and expiration dates of local government development orders, building permits, and permits issued by the Department of Environment Protection or the water management districts are tolled and extended so long as appropriate notice is given to the local government and/or agency.
